The Childhood Trauma Collection contains 250 artworks made by adult survivors of child abuse. It includes works on paper and textiles that were created during psychotherapy sessions across a number of therapy centres in Melbourne.
This sub-collection brings attention to the abuse, neglect and misuse of children in our society, and highlights the traumatic nature of the experiences represented, and the healing benefits of art in therapy.
