Located just 5 minutes from Melbourne's CBD The Dax Centre is an elegant, contemporary venue suitable for a range of events. Spaces for hire include the Main Gallery inclusive of a multimedia gallery, a separate seminar room and an onsite 250 seat auditorium.

The gallery space features exhibitions by artists with a lived experience of mental health issues. It can accommodate 200-300 guests, standing room. It is also suitable for seated events such as celebrations, launches, panels, seminars, business meetings and conferences.

With onsite car parking and public transport stopping directly out the front of the venue, The Dax Centre is the unique hidden event space you've been searching for.

Gallery tours
We can provide a guided tour of our current exhibitions as part of your event. Learn about the artworks and artists' stories, the history of The Dax Centre and the heritage listed Cunningham Dax Collection. 1 hour or 2 hour guided tours are available as part of your event. The Kenneth Myer Building and The Dax Centre Gallery are accessible by wheelchair. Please contact us for any specific accessibility questions or requirements.
